Mask requirements are updated periodically by monitoring several local indicators and data from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention’s (CDC) “ COVID-19” Community Levels” to determine the prevalence of COVID-19 in our community. Using this data and applying CDC Guidelines for healthcare settings, Medical Center Barbour (MCB) will assign a Masking Response Level which defines the following masking requirement for staff, colleagues, family members, guests, and visitors.
HIGH:
Mask Required

Staff, colleagues, family members, guests and visitors are required to wear masks in all MCB facilities.
MEDIUM:
Staff, colleagues, family members, guests and visitors must practice masking as outlined below:

Patient rooms, nurses' stations, all procedure rooms, when transporting patients, or caring for immunocompromised patient
