WHO CAN GET A COVID-19 VACCINE?

At this time, COVID-19 vaccines are available to patients who meet certain criteria. However, more people will be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine every week, so check back here often for more information as it becomes available.

Currently, all people ages 12 and older are now eligible to the COVID-19 vaccination. 

HOW DO I GET SCHEDULED FOR THE COVID-19 VACCINATION IF I MEET THE CRITERIA?

Easy! Our friendly Central Scheduling Department will personally secure your appointment time. Simply give them a call at 334-688-7002 or 334-688-7007 to schedule your appointment. Remember, you must be at least 12 or older to be eligible for the vaccine at this time.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

When you arrive at your appointment, you will need a copy of your license and your  insurance card.

WHERE DO I NEED TO GO TO GET MY COVID-19 VACCINATION?

On the date and time of your appointment, please report to the Medical Center Barbour Cafeteria Classroom outdoor entrance for the vaccine.

WHAT VACCINATION DOES MEDICAL CENTER BARBOUR OFFER?

We offer the Pfizer vaccine and Moderna vaccine.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A COVID-19 BOOSTER SHOT?

Certain people are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster shot, including those who received Moderna and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccines. Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots.

For individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, the following groups are eligible for a booster shot at 6 months or more after their initial series:

For the nearly 15 million people who got the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, booster shots are also recommended for those who are 18 and older and who were vaccinated two or more months ago.
 

Additional populations may be recommended to receive a booster shot as more data become available.
