SENIOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH UNIT

Our Senior Behavioral Health Unit consists of 17 licensed psychiatric beds to treat the mental health conditions of both male and female patients who are age 55 and older. Our intensive treatment services are designed to provide a safe, comfortable atmosphere for patients requiring close supervision, protection, and assistance with acute crisis management and symptom control. Patients requiring long term psychiatric management will be referred by the interdisciplinary team to the appropriate level of care after careful assessment and evaluation. 

 Our goals

Our caring and compassionate medical professionals are here around the clock to provide patients with an intensive therapeutic environment which promotes the stabilization of an acute psychiatric crisis. We aim to provide short term treatment options that assist patients and their families in identifying community resources, enhancing coping skills, transitioning care to an outpatient setting, and helping each patient assume increased responsibility for their own life. We also provide each patient with physical, physiological, and social assessments throughout the treatment process so that we can implement an individualized treatment plan for each patient based on their needs.
